How do you reset the engine light of the Ford Ranger?

To reset the engine light on the Ford Ranger, there is no specific procedure that must be followed, as this light comes on to indicate a generic malfunction in the injection system. To identify the problem, a scan must be performed using the appropriate OBD scanner. Once the connection is made, it will be possible to remove the error from the ECU memory to make the light disappear; another way to solve the problem could be to disconnect the terminals connected to the battery for a few minutes, thus resetting the ECU.
