How to Remove the Timing Belt on Ford Sierra
Model: Ford Sierra
MK 1
- Years 1982-1993
Prepare to replace the timing belt on Ford Sierra Cosworth: lift the car on a column lift or jack (if necessary, remove the front wheel using a screwdriver to take off the right wheel arch liner). Once these operations are completed, lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the timing belt cover. Using a suitable spanner, loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the tensioner pulley bolt, and remove the water pump as shown in the video. Fit the new water pump (previously removed), the tensioner, and the belt itself, and tighten everything with the socket wrench.
