How to remove the fuel pump on a Ford Focus? First, lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod, then remove the engine soundproofing panel to access the fuel system. Disconnect the battery cables, then remove the rear seat cushions from the car. Unscrew the metal cap screws (if present) using a socket spanner, remove it from its housing, and cover the perimeter with absorbent paper to catch any liquid spills. Disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation hoses. Finally, extract the fuel pump from its housing along with any attached components.
