How to Replace the Battery of a Ford Transit MK8

Model: Ford Transit MK 8 - Years 2014-2024
Part: Battery

Let's see how to change the battery of the Ford Transit MK8. The battery is located under the driver's seat: pull the side lever to unlock the slide, slide the seat all the way back, and lean the backrest against the passenger seat to have maximum space. Unscrew the two 10 mm bolts that secure the plastic cover around the base of the seat. Pull it out towards the outside of the cabin. Disconnect the negative battery cable first, then the positive. Remove the securing bar; to extract the battery from the plastic tray, insert a spanner or flat screwdriver under the edge of the tray and gently lever upwards to lift the battery. Clean the terminals if they are corroded, insert the new battery, secure it with the bar, reconnect in reverse order: positive first and negative, and reposition the black plastic cover. Return the seat to its original position and start the vehicle to check its operation.

Installation of Upgraded Intercooler Radiator with Pipes

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheels, and then the front bumper and grille. Proceed to remove the front headlights; drain the coolant, remove the intercooler radiator and the hoses connecting it to the intake system. Position the new intercooler radiator in the grille, temporarily securing it with cable ties, and mark with a marker the part of the metal that needs to be removed to allow the new hoses to pass through. Cut the marked portion of metal and apply a gasket to the edge. Remove the inner cover of the bumper and position it near the radiator to identify any interfering parts to eliminate: again, apply a gasket to the edge of the cut. Create brackets for securing the new radiator and proceed with the installation of the connecting pipes from the radiator to the intake, shaping and connecting them appropriately. Finally, reassemble the bumper, headlights, and grille.
