How to Repair the Handbrake of the Ford Fiesta

Today, I will explain how to repair the handbrake of the Ford Fiesta MK 7 model. First, remove the upper plastics of the centre console between the seats. To unclip it, you need to first remove the cigarette lighter and disconnect the connector, then use a flathead screwdriver to unclip the internal clips by inserting it sideways. The failure of the handbrake is due to the breakage of the flexible cable inside. To repair it, position the threaded metal rod of the locking pin inside the spring and button to re-tension the handbrake. After inserting the threading, tighten the nut to adjust the firmness of the handbrake. This operation should be repeated several times before reassembling the console. When the handbrake reaches the desired firmness for safety tension, you can reassemble the console.
