How to Access the Secret Menu of the Ford Focus MK2

To access the secret menu (which is actually the service menu) of the Ford Focus MK2, locate the indicator stalk (the stalk on the left of the steering wheel) and press and hold the "SET" button found on the indicator stalk. Keep the button pressed and, while holding it, turn the ignition key two clicks to the right (to the ON position). Continue to hold the "SET" button until the display shows "test". At this point, release the button. You are now in the service menu. All the dashboard lights will illuminate, and the indicators will perform a sweep (i.e., move fully to the maximum and return) to confirm you are in the menu. From here, you can read the battery voltage, engine RPM, coolant temperature, fuel level in litres and percentage, and test the individual display elements. To exit the menu, simply turn off the ignition.
