Opening the bonnet in case of a broken release cable is not particularly difficult but requires some skill. First, check if the cable is actually broken or just loose. If it is broken, use a metal hook as shown in the video to operate the bonnet latch. Insert the metal hook (it should be thin but sturdy) into the gap at the front of the bonnet until it catches the release cable. Then, pull towards you until you feel the bonnet unlock. The bonnet latch is typically located centrally in the engine bay, corresponding to the Ford logo.
