How to replace the air conditioning filter in a Ford Ecosport

Model: Ford Ecosport BK, MK 1 - Years 2012-2023

The cabin filter in the Ford Ecosport is located in the centre of the dashboard, where the gear lever is also situated. To access the filter for replacement, you need to remove the plastic cover of the dashboard. Start by pulling upwards on the horizontal element at the junction of the dashboard and the instrument panel (in front of the gear lever). Now you can remove the plastic trim that surrounds the gear lever assembly. Next, unscrew the two screws securing the right side cover of the dashboard (one screw at the front and one on the side). Now, unscrew the two screws located at the bottom on the right (behind the right cover of the dashboard) as shown in the images. You can then unscrew the screw located under the glove compartment and remove the drawer from its housing. Once this is done, unscrew the last screw on the right side of the dashboard and remove the cover of the filter housing. Extract the filter from its housing and replace it with the new one (the video also shows how to clean the old filter). To reassemble all the parts, simply perform the same operations seen in the images in reverse order.
