Let's look at the removal and replacement of the coolant in a Ford Fiesta radiator. Disconnect the radiator hose at the bottom using a socket wrench (lift the car), and drain the rusty fluid into a container.

Flush the cooling system with appropriate fluid, repeating this process until the pipes and radiator are completely clean. Reconnect the previously removed hoses and tighten the metal clips in the engine bay. Top up with the new coolant.

Finally, test for any leaks in the system.
