How to Turn Off the Brake Pad Warning Light on the Ford Transit

If the brake pad warning light (amber) illuminates on the Ford Transit, the issue is often the wear sensor, not necessarily the pads. Check the front and rear pads: the sensor is a wire that breaks when the pad is worn. In the video, the rear sensor was cut by the edge of the wheel rim due to improper fastening. The repair is simple: replace the sensor (which can be found on autofixer.it with code 23-0118 for £4.45 + £9.99 shipping) and secure it with a tie wrap to the caliper arm, keeping it away from the rim. Once replaced, the light will turn off. Ensure the cable is not loose and does not touch the rim edge to prevent it from being cut again. The pad light illuminates when the sensor detects wear. If the cable is broken, the light remains on even with new pads.
