How to Remove the Timing Belt from a Ford Focus

Remove the timing belt from a Ford Focus. Lift the car on a column lift; remove the front wheel and the right wheel arch liner. Once these operations are complete, lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the timing belt cover. Using a suitable spanner, loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the tensioner pulley bolt and remove the water pump. Fit the new water pump (previously removed), the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket wrench. Finally, refit the rivets along with the wheel arch liner and reattach the car wheel.
