How to Change the Key Fob Battery of a Ford Edge?
Let's see how to change the key fob battery of a Ford Edge: you will need two CR2025 batteries, which can be easily found in any supermarket or electronics store. On the top of the key, there is a black button: press it down and, while holding it, pull off the rear plastic cover. Now you will see the inside of the fob, with an outer casing and an inner plastic piece holding the electronic board. Using the tip of a screwdriver, insert it into the upper slot (where the ring was) between the two plastic shells. Gently lever it open, and once opened, you will see the two button batteries side by side. Remove them from their housing and insert the new ones, ensuring the correct polarity. Reposition the inner shell onto the outer one: first guide the two ring-shaped hooks into their housings, press until you hear the clicks of closure, and then replace the rear cover, and you’re done.
