To replace the fuel filter on a sixth-generation Ford Fiesta, first locate the position of the component, which may vary depending on the engine type. On diesel versions, the filter is generally installed in the engine compartment and connected to the fuel circuit pipes.

After turning off the engine, carefully disconnect the fittings and any electrical connectors, collecting any residual fuel. Then remove the fasteners holding the filter or its housing and extract the old element.

Insert the new filter in the same position and reconnect the pipes and connectors correctly. Finally, on diesel versions, it may be necessary to prime the circuit before starting, then check for any fuel leaks.
