This guide briefly outlines the instructions for replacing the engine oil and oil filter in a Ford Ranger 2.2L. First, lift the vehicle and begin draining the engine oil by unscrewing the drain bolt located on the oil sump. Allow the oil to drain into a container for about ten minutes.

Next, use a socket wrench with an extension to unscrew the oil filter, removing and replacing the cartridge inside. Also, replace the rubber seal.

Finally, pour in the new engine oil, adding the correct quantity.
