Replacing the Key Battery on Ford Focus

Model: Ford Focus MK 1 - Years 1998-2004

Replace the battery in the Ford Focus remote key as soon as it starts to lose power. Take the remote and use a screwdriver to lever out the metal key piece. Once detached, use a screwdriver to lever between the two plastic parts of the key cover. Continue to lever until the two pieces separate from the cover. Remove the worn battery with a screwdriver (take a new one of the same size and voltage). Reassemble the two cover parts by pressing on the remote key until you hear the locking click. Attach the key to the cover.
