How to Install, Replace or Repair the Ignition Switch

This video illustrates and explains how to carry out the replacement, installation or repair of the ignition switch on a Ford Ranger. To proceed safely, disconnect the battery. After removing the panel above the footwell, use a 7 mm socket and extension to undo the six bolts underneath the panel and remove the metal cover. Using the same socket, also remove the grey cover of the switch. To remove the switch, you will need a T30 Torx screwdriver: undo the two securing screws and take out the old switch. Take a new one and position it exactly as the old one, then refit the two Torx screws. Reassemble everything as it was before and remember to reconnect the battery.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
