How to Install, Replace or Repair the Ignition Switch

This video illustrates and explains how to carry out the replacement, installation or repair of the ignition switch on a Ford Ranger. To proceed safely, disconnect the battery.

After removing the panel above the footwell, use a 7 mm socket and extension to undo the six bolts underneath the panel and remove the metal cover. Using the same socket, also remove the grey cover of the switch.

To remove the switch, you will need a T30 Torx screwdriver: undo the two securing screws and take out the old switch. Take a new one and position it exactly as the old one, then refit the two Torx screws.

Reassemble everything as it was before and remember to reconnect the battery.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat. Be careful of any electrical cables or components that may be connected to the seat during removal. Once the rear seat is removed, the disassembly is complete.
