Replacement of Tailgate Cable

Model: Ford Ranger MK 2 - Years 1993-1997

To replace the cable, you only need a screwdriver and a ratchet spanner. The retaining screws for the cable are accessible on the tailgate and the bodywork. Start by loosening the first bolt located on the side of the tailgate using the ratchet spanner. Do the same with the bolt on the bodywork. Once the two retaining bolts are removed, you can take out the cable. Fit the new cable by inserting the bolts into the eyelet, ensuring it is positioned correctly in its seat. Repeat the same process with the other cable. Tighten the screws firmly.
