Removing Fuel Filter on a Ford Focus

Is the fuel filter due for a change? Here’s how to remove the filter from under the floor of the Focus. Lift the car on a column lift, locate the diesel filter as shown in the video. Using a socket spanner, unscrew the securing bolts near the housing (disconnect the wires and various hoses from the filter) where the diesel filter is located. Remove the filter from under the floor (replace it with a new filter). Finally, refit the filter to the associated diesel filter housing (connect the hoses and wires) and tighten the appropriate bolts. Lower the car to the ground. Start the Focus's engine.
