Replacing the Cabin Fan Resistor

Model: Ford Ranger MK 2 - Years 1993-1997
Part: Blower motor

First, open the front bonnet. The cabin fan is located on the left side (when facing the engine) just below the windscreen, behind the windscreen washer reservoir. You need to remove the reservoirs to allow access to the fan resistor, which is located at the bottom left. Unscrew the securing pins of the resistor and pull it out of its housing, disconnecting the plug attached to it (this operation may be quite difficult, so take care not to damage the plug itself).
Connect the new resistor to the plug and position it in its housing, tightening the relevant securing screws. Finally, refit the reservoir.
