Removing glow plugs on a Ford Fiesta? How to do it yourself? Here's the procedure. Release and lift the front bonnet, remove the engine cover, and disconnect the air pipe. Grip the coil with your hands and twist it until it comes out of the cylinder head (unscrew the side screws if present). Use a socket wrench to unscrew the glow plugs until they are removed from the cylinder head. Take the new glow plug, insert it into the cylinder head with the socket wrench and screw it in until fully threaded. Refit the plastic head cover and reconnect the air pipe. Test the vehicle's ignition.
