Replacing the Ignition Key Battery

Model: Ford Mondeo / Fusion MK 2 - Years 2000-2007
Part: Key

This tutorial explains how to replace the ignition key battery of the Ford Mondeo. You will need a small screwdriver and a new 3-volt lithium battery (CR2032). Start by separating the part with the key blade from the key fob (the part containing the battery). Use a small flathead screwdriver to open the black casing and gently remove the old battery. Insert the new battery in the same position as the previous one, then close the casing. Finally, attach the part of the key with the blade, and you're done.
