Replacing the Fuel Filter in the Ford Ka

Model: Ford Ka MK 1 - Years 1996-2008

Position your Ford Ka on a flat surface or ramp, just as you would for any maintenance task on any other vehicle, to ensure safety and stability. In this case, the fuel filter is located at the bottom of the car, just in front of the left rear wheel (the side where the fuel filler neck is located), as shown in the images. Before replacing the filter, you must depressurise the fuel system. To do this, remove the fuse for the system, which is located in the designated compartment on the passenger side, as indicated in the images. Now, start the engine to consume any residual fuel. Open the fuel filler neck and, using a cloth, clean the inside of the cap and the neck. Finally, you can replace the fuel filter. To reassemble everything, proceed in reverse order of the steps taken.
