Ford Focus - Video tutorial

Model: Ford Focus MK 1 - Years 1998-2004
Part: Accessory Kit
Operation: FM modulator installation and an input adapter

To remove the radio from the console, insert the special tools into the side slots of the radio in order to release the retaining springs. At this point remove the car radio from the compartment carefully disconnecting the connectors, being careful not to tear the wires. This FM modulator is an auxiliary input adapter that connects to the radio through the antenna line and allows you to listen to any portable music player with a 3.5mm jack. This is the cheapest way to add a new source of audio to the radio without losing sound quality and superior to FM Wireless Modulators. A complementary 3.5mm connector to the RCA cable is included to allow you to listen to music from an iPod, Smartphone, Zune, MP3 player or any other portable audio device with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
