The adjustment of the handbrake is performed using a nut located directly under the handbrake lever: pull the handbrake fully to access the adjustment nut, insert the key and lower the handbrake lever; at this point, adjust the nut by tightening it to reduce the travel of the handbrake lever. Make the adjustment in successive steps (tighten the nut a little and check the travel of the handbrake lever) to avoid over-adjusting and risking the brakes seizing.
