How to Remove the External Rear-View Mirror of a Ford Fusion

Before you start, open the front door of your Ford Fusion. Begin by unscrewing and removing the screws that secure the window switch to the door, then extract the switch from its housing and disconnect the electrical connector. Next, unscrew and remove the screws that secure the door panel, and finally, unclip the door panel itself. This will give you access to the nuts that secure the mirror to the door. Proceed by disconnecting the electrical connector of the rear-view mirror, then unscrew and remove the securing nuts. At this point, you can extract and remove the external rear-view mirror, completing the disassembly.
