Operation: How do you reset the Ford Ecosport ECU?

In order to reset the Ford Ecosport engine control unit, the hood must be opened to gain access to the engine compartment. The control unit is located immediately under the windshield and in order to access it, the relative protective plastic cover must be moved. Once removed, you will need to use a socket wrench to be able to disconnect a cable connected to the control unit. Subsequently, it will be necessary to take two clamps and connect the positive pole of the car battery with the cable previously disconnected from the control unit. By letting the current flow for a few seconds, the control unit will reset and it will be possible to reconnect the previously disconnected cable.
