How to reset the ECU of the Ford Ecosport?

Model: Ford Ecosport BK, MK 1 - Years 2012-2023

To reset the engine management ECU of the Ford Ecosport, open the bonnet to access the engine compartment. The ECU is located just below the windscreen, and you need to move the protective plastic cover to access it. Once removed, use a socket wrench to disconnect a cable connected to the ECU. Next, take two jump leads and connect the positive terminal of the car battery to the cable previously disconnected from the ECU. Allow the current to flow for a few seconds to reset the ECU, then reconnect the previously disconnected cable.
