To replace the gear knob on a Ford Fiesta, lift the lower part of its rubber gaiter, disengaging the retaining clips inside. Once the clips are removed, rotate the knob counterclockwise to detach both parts from the lever. When the old knob and gaiter are removed, insert the new knob: it should be screwed on by turning it clockwise, and the gaiter should be fitted back into its housing, securing the retaining clips.
