Operation: How to replace the glass of the rear window of the Ford Fiesta

The guide shows how to replace the rear window glass of the car. First you have to remove the door panel and to do this you have to remove the cap of the screw under the inside handle and unscrew the same. Using a Torx T25 screwdriver, unscrew the two screws in the compartment under the window regulator control; at this point, using a plastic lifter, remove the triangular piece of plastic on the edge of the window. Carefully not to damage the fixing clips, proceed with the disassembly of the internal panel starting from the bottom (a little force must be applied during the operation). Then, disconnect the lock cable by pressing on the tabs at the base of the handle (the wire connector will come off quickly), and the window control cable (using the safety plug). At this point, check if there are any clips stuck in the door (to be reattached, in the respective housing, on the door). Now, in the central part of the door, there are two patches that allow you to remove the glass, you have to remove them gently in order not to damage them and lower the window until the bolts to be removed are visible. Carry out just a few revolutions and gently push the glass as far as it will go. At this point, it is necessary to remove the internal gasket from the window guide in the area where the triangular panel was present and, this time with a Torx T20, unscrew the two screws, remove the internal gasket present on the door slot and remove only a part of the external gasket, in order to remove the piece of plastic held by the screws just unscrewed (sliding it upwards and pulling it). The window glass can now be removed. Once this last step has been completed, the operation is complete. The tools required are: - Torx T20, T25 screwdrivers; - Lift for plastics; - Phillips screwdriver.
