When to change the timing belt on Ford Focus 1 6 tdci?

Model: Ford Focus MK 3 - Years 2011-2018
Part: Timing belt

The timing belt is a very important component of the engine, as it allows the motion to be transmitted from the crankshaft to the camshaft while keeping the valve opening and closing synchronism constant with respect to the position of the pistons. Breakage of the timing belt while the engine is running can cause irreparable damage to the engine itself and, above all, very costly damage. The manufacturer of this model foresees the replacement of the belt every 200,000 km or, if this mileage is not reached, every 8-10 years from the year of registration.
