How to Change the Gear Oil on a Ford Transit 2500

In this video tutorial, you can see how to change the gear oil on a Ford Transit 2500. The oil change should generally be performed between 31,000 and 62,000 miles. The gearbox requires about 1.3 kg of oil (SAE 80W-90). Lift the camper with a hydraulic jack and place safety stands and a safety wheel under the camper. Place a container for the used oil under the gearbox. First, unscrew the filler plug and then the drain plug with an Allen key and let all the oil drain into the container; after all the oil has drained into the container (let it drain for half an hour), once drained, replace the plug without overtightening to avoid cracking the casing. At this point, pour in the oil using a funnel; when the oil starts to come out, it means you have introduced the correct amount. Screw the drain plug back on and you're done.
