To replace the front brake pads on a Ford Explorer, lift the vehicle so that the wheel corresponding to the pads to be replaced is off the ground. This allows you to loosen the bolts securing the wheel and remove it completely, gaining access to the brake caliper.

The caliper can be detached by loosening the caliper mounting bolt, and the pads inside can be removed and replaced with a new spare part. After the replacement, reinstall the wheel, securing it with the appropriate bolts.
