To replace the door actuator on a Ford Explorer, loosen the screws securing the door panel: these are located at the internal handle and near the rear-view mirror. Once these screws are loosened, you can detach the panel and unscrew the bolts securing the door actuator, disconnecting the connectors as well.

The part can then be removed and replaced with a new spare part, which must be secured and connected. After replacement, refit the door panel.
