Cylinder Head Gasket Replacement

After machining the cylinder head, always check the flatness of the surface using a straight edge and a feeler gauge for valves. The same check should be performed on the cylinder block to rule out any warping caused by overheating. Then, re-tap the threads of the head bolt holes with a tap of the correct pitch, ensuring that no debris ends up in the cylinders. Use a digital depth gauge to check the position of the pistons relative to the block. Then insert the alignment sleeves, the new cylinder head gasket, and the cylinder head itself, securing it with a new set of bolts, tightening them in a cross pattern using a torque wrench and a graduated scale.
