How to Replace the Fuel Pump on a Ford Taurus

To replace the fuel pump on a Ford Taurus, lift the car to access the tank mounting screws located at the lower rear of the vehicle. Once all screws are removed, move the tank from its supports and disconnect the connectors attached to it. After the tank is removed, you can slide out the fuel pump located at the top of the tank; at this point, insert the new pump and reconnect and secure the tank.
