How to Replace the Fuel Filter on a Ford Kuga

This guide shows how to replace the fuel filter on a Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCi. To perform this operation, you need to remove the plastic engine cover. The fuel filter is located on the left side of the engine. Remove the electrical connector and the three 8 mm bolts from the edge of the element, then remove the metal cover. After placing a cloth to catch any fuel that may spill, disconnect the two fluid lines. Using a 27 mm spanner, unscrew the filter dome and remove the part, taking care not to spill any fuel. Siphon some fuel to avoid overflow during installation. Fit the new cartridge and new seal, then reassemble everything in position. Start the engine for a few seconds to fill the filter.
