How to Replace the Fuel Filter and Bleed the System on a Ford Kuga Mk1 2.0

This guide demonstrates how to replace the fuel filter and bleed the system on a Ford Kuga Mk2 with a 2.0 engine. The first step is to access the engine bay and remove the engine cover. Remove the two Torx T30 screws and the 10 mm bolt from the fuel filter cover. Disconnect the two hydraulic pipe connectors and the electrical connector. Remove the four Torx T30 screws and replace the old filter cartridge with the new element. Tighten the four bolts of the cartridge cover, and using a vacuum pump, draw air from the filter while introducing fuel into it. At this point, you can reattach the hydraulic pipes, the electrical connector, and the filter cover.
