Car Radio Removal Instructions

Model: Ford Focus MK 1 - Years 1998-2004

Before proceeding with the removal of the original car radio, or possibly disconnecting the battery, ensure you have the relevant unlock code, which is absolutely necessary to reactivate the radio for subsequent power-up; that said, to extract the radio from its housing, you will need the appropriate extraction keys: these are steel elements bent into a "U" shape with pointed ends, which must be inserted into the specific holes on either side of the radio; once the keys are inserted and the locking tabs are disengaged, press them outward and pull out the radio, disconnecting the rear connectors.
