How to Change the Battery in a Ford Transit Connect Key Fob

The tools needed to replace the battery in a Ford Transit Connect key fob are a small flat-head screwdriver and a new CR 2032 3V flat battery. To begin, separate the metal key from the rest of the fob by inserting the screwdriver tip along the edge just above the upper buttons on the casing, which will achieve the desired separation. Then, insert the screwdriver tip along the top edge of the casing, in the empty slot of the key, and pry to open the fob. At this point, you will have access to the battery compartment; proceed to remove the old battery and replace it.
