To reset the Sync 3 on a Ford car radio, you need to turn on the instrument panel and consequently the radio, then press the PHONE button. After this has been pressed, scroll through the menu that appears by pressing the down arrow button until you find the "Factory default" option: pressing the OK button will first display the message "Master reset" and then "Reset completed". Once the confirmation message appears, you can check that the reset has been successful by accessing the menu on the display.
