How to Change the Remote Battery on a Ford

If you notice that the car does not open when using the remote key, the remote battery has likely died and needs replacing. First, remove the back cover of the key and take out the emergency key. Use a small screwdriver to push outwards on the short side of the remote to unlock the back cover and open the remote.

The battery will be inside the cover; use a sharp object to extract it and replace it with an equivalent CR 2032 model, ensuring the positive side is facing up. Finally, reattach the remote cover and reposition the emergency key.
