How to Properly Restart a Ford Vehicle if the Battery is Flat

In this video, you will learn how to properly restart a Ford vehicle whose battery has accidentally gone flat: open the bonnet and identify the positive and negative terminals of the battery. Connect the positive end of the jump lead to the positive terminal of the battery and the negative end to a ground point.

The example shown in the video refers to a Transit Connect; then we see the location on a Ford Ranger, followed by a Transit Custom, and finally on the Transit. Making the correct connections is very important, or you risk damaging the vehicle.

In the engine bay, there are stickers that will help you locate the exact points. After connecting the leads, start the support vehicle - or turn on the booster - for a few minutes, then start your vehicle.
