Fitting the Underbody Heat Shield

Underneath the vehicle's floor, near the exhaust pipe, there is a heat shield: it is a sheet made of material resistant to high temperatures, shaped to protect the floor itself. This sheet is secured using snap-fit washers to specific studs on the floor. The video shows the failure of the eyelet of the shield right at the fastening point, causing vibrations and noise. You can remedy this by making a spring washer; obtain a piece of sheet metal 2x2, drill a hole in the centre and make a cut halfway through the section to then separate the two flaps so that once the plate is secured to the stud, it holds the shield in place.

How to Reset the Central Locking of the Volkswagen Golf 4?

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel.
