How to Clean the Drainage of a Ford Flex Grille

Perform a seemingly simple task that no one ever does: clean the drainage of the Ford Flex grille. First, remove the plastic covers of the windshield wipers so you can take out the screw that holds it to the grille. Lift the hood. The grille is attached to the body with 6 plastic screws. After removing them, take off the grille by lifting the rubber cover on the sides. Be careful with the washer nozzle hose and the metal clip in the center. Gently pull it out. Remove the water collection basin, where there are two rubber clips underneath and the lower part of the grille protecting the engine. You will see dirt under the basin. Collect it and clean the parts. In this case, this dirt was responsible for moisture forming inside. More dirt has also accumulated on the driver's side. After cleaning all the debris, proceed to reassemble the cleaned parts. Reattach the lower part of the grille on the driver's side with its metal clip, then the basin, ensuring the rubber clips snap in place. Reattach the grille with its 6 plastic clips, remembering that it needs to fit under the side rubber protectors. Reattach the washer hose and then put the wipers back in place, covering the mounting screw with the plastic cover. The job is done.
