How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Ford Focus

Model: Ford Focus MK 3 - Years 2011-2018

Lift the car with a jack and unscrew the fastening bolts of the right wheel. Remove the 2 rivets and one screw that hold the inner splash guard in place. Move the coolant reservoir and the power steering fluid reservoir. Carefully remove the cover. Remove the upper timing belt cover and the auxiliary belt. Dismantle the water pump pulley. Then remove the engine support bracket and the crankshaft pulley. Dismantle the lower cover and hold the engine in position. At this point, you will be able to remove the belt.
