This guide shows how to remove the steering wheel airbag from a Ford Fiesta Mk6. You only need a small flathead screwdriver for this operation. After fully lowering the steering column, remove the upper trim of the steering wheel by acting on the retaining clips.

Turn the steering wheel in both directions to expose two recesses at the back. By inserting the screwdriver into these recesses, you can release the airbag retaining pins.

At this point, you can extract the airbag, taking care with the control cables. Disconnect the connectors and remove the part.
