See how to replace the battery in a Ford B-Max 1.5 TDCI using a memory saver to avoid losing data and settings. To work effectively, remove the air filter (there are 4 screws), then take off the mounting bracket.

Now connect the memory saver by attaching the negative and positive leads. This accessory can be very useful throughout the life of the vehicle.

Now that the memory saver is connected, remove the negative terminal of the battery to be changed, then the protective cover, followed by the positive terminal. The vehicle remains powered.

Pull out the old battery. Install the new one by connecting the positive first, then the negative.

You can remove the memory saver. Refit the air filter.

You are done without losing any settings as the vehicle has always been powered.
