To replace the battery in a Ford C-Max, open the bonnet and locate the battery in the engine bay, often covered by a plastic cover. Remove the cover and ensure the vehicle is off. Loosen and disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive.

Unscrew the holding bracket at the base of the battery and remove it. Carefully extract the battery from its housing. Insert the new battery into the same bay, ensuring the terminal positions are correct, and secure it again with the bracket.

Connect the positive terminal first, then the negative, ensuring the terminals are well tightened. Refit the cover and turn on the instrument cluster to verify the system is functioning correctly.
