Replacing Rear Shock Springs

Model: Ford Mondeo / Fusion MK 2 - Years 2000-2007
Part: Suspension system

To replace the rear suspension springs, lift the vehicle on a ramp and remove the rear wheel. Then, detach the link connecting the suspension wishbone to the stabiliser bar. Place a jack under the rear hub to remove the mounting bolt of the wishbone from the hub support, allowing you to lower the suspension enough to extract the spring. Insert the new spring and reattach the mounting bolt of the wishbone and the link.

This will allow you to locate the pipe through which the brake fluid flows: by inserting the other end of the pipe into a container, you can press the clutch pedal to expel all the fluid until it fills the container.
