Replacement of Front Brake Pads

Model: Ford Mondeo / Fusion MK 2 - Years 2000-2007

Remove the brake caliper using a ratchet spanner by unscrewing the two rear bolts. Dismantle the caliper bracket in the same way. Clean the bracket thoroughly from any deposits using a deoxidising spray. Clean the discs before installing the pads to remove any dirt. Apply copper grease around the disc bracket to prevent seizing due to oxidation or rust. For securing the bracket and caliper, use new bolts if possible; otherwise, clean and lubricate the old ones. Use a wire brush to remove the bulk of the accumulated dirt. Reposition the piston to its starting position and fit the new pads. Reassemble the caliper and wheel.
