How to Install Swivel Seats on the Ford Transit

The installation is straightforward and takes no more than an hour. In the video, we start by disconnecting the electrical connectors on the passenger seat, then remove the 4 bolts - one at each end of the rails - and slide the seat forward to remove it, including the rails.

Now position the swivel part, pulling the wiring through the centre, pull the red lever to rotate the top part, so you can secure the base with the new 4 hex screws of 5 mm. Next, attach the swivel part to the seat using the bolts, nuts, and washers included in the package.

There are closure bars that prevent the seat from rotating completely, which need to be cut; do not use tools that create sparks! Then sand and repaint.

With the door closed, the seat rails hit the door, and you may need to cut them, but the YouTuber chose not to do this and prefers to keep the door open in case the chair needs to be fully rotated. Slide it back to tighten the last two bolts, then reconnect the electrical connector.

For the driver's seat, the procedure is very similar, except for some differences regarding the wiring, as there is a battery under the driver's seat, so you need to make a hole in the protective cover to allow the cable to exit. The rest of the procedure is identical.
